- You book an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to power.
- We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
- We may need to remove door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- When the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for at least a week so that they can dry fully, this safeguards the edge of the tint.
- We can then accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.

Which car windows can we tint?
We are often asked about this. To start with, let us describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on each of the driver’s & the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through. The vast majority of vehicles made today have tinted windows that are almost at (or close to) the 70-75% limit. Even though to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, in actual fact it is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
In addition, something else to think about is your car insurance. By unlawfully tinting the front windows of your car, you can invalidate your insurance.
It’s also against the law to an illegally install tint to a cars front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Which of the available tints do you use?
Not all window tints was created equal! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour after a while. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This is not first class, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it gives a great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The finest tint available, offered as our premium service. It provides the best longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, will not affect radio reception and provides the most temperature/UV protection.
