- You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and a location convenient to you.
- Our uniformed crew will arrive, only needing access to power.
- We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or invisible debris before we tint them.
- We may need to detach the door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- Once the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for at least a week to allow them to dry fully, this safeguards the edge of the tint.
- We’re then able to take payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?

Which car windows are we able to tint?
We’re regularly asked this question. To start with, let us explain the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. So, a 20% tint makes it possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of cars made today come with tinted windows that are almost at (or nearly) the 70-75% limit. Even though to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the UK road network unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, something else to consider is the insurance on your car. By illegally tinting the front windows of your car, you may invalidate your insurance.
It is also illegal to an illegally install tint to the front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Vision Tints is a reliable, trustworthy & respected business that all customers rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we decided to not tint front windows beyond the legal limit.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not all window tints meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour eventually. Its really not great, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This is not a good option, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Vision Tints, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The finest tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It has great longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, does not affect radio and provides the most UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all manufacturers of tint offer the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we think is best brand available, and what is more, it’s manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
