What we do
- You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed crew will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or invisible debris before we tint them.
- We could need to detach the door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- Once the windows are tinted, we ask that you do not use the windows for at least a week to allow them to dry fully, this safeguards the edge of the tint.
- We’re then able to accept payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
What window tint shade is right for your vehicle?
Choosing the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

Based on your responses to those questions our trained professionals are able to help you to pick the right shade. These are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers shelter from UV rays, heat & also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most popular, it can safeguard from heat, UV rays and offers total privacy.
Which car windows are we able to tint?
We are asked this question many times. Firstly, let’s explain the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint makes it possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of vehicles produced today have tinted windows that are already at (or close to) the 70-75% maximum. Even though to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.
If you go ahead and have your front windows tinted this is the potential penalty (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road unless you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, something else to think about is the insurance on your car. By unlawfully tinting your front windows, you can invalidate your insurance.
It is also against the law to an illegally install tint to the front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Vision Tints is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable business that all customers rely on and as such we choose not to disobey the law. So we decided to not tint your front windows beyond the legal limit.
We always use a tint meter to ensure everything is allowable when fitting tint on front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the cheapest product on the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour eventually. Its really not great, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This is not a premium tint, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The greatest tint available, provided as our premium service. It has great colour/longevity, isn’t affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio signal and provides the most UV/temperature protection.
