How it works
- You book a time slot and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
- We could need to detach the door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to completely dry, this safeguards the edge of the tint.
- We can then take payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.

Which car windows are we able to tint?
We’re regularly asked this question. To start with, let us describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front have to let 70-75% of the light through. Most of cars produced today have tinted windows that are almost at (or nearly) the 70-75% limit. Even though to some people this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, in actual fact it is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road unless you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something else to think about is the insurance on your car. By illegally tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.
It’s also illegal to an illegally install tint to a cars front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Vision Tints is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all clients rely on and as such we do not want to disobey the law. So we decided to not tint your front windows past the legal limit.
We will test with a tint meter to ensure everything is allowable when applying tint on front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you use?
Not every window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This tends to be the least expensive product available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and normally goes a blue or purple colour after a while. Its really not great, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This isn’t a good option, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The best tint we can buy, offered as our premium service. It has great longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, will not affect radio signals and gives the most UV/temperature protection.
