How it works
- You book a time slot and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
- We may need to detach the door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- Once the windows have been tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to dry fully, this preserves the edge of the tint.
- We’re then able to receive payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re asked this question many times. To start with, let us explain the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes it possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of vehicles the come from the factory today have tinted windows that are almost at (or close to) the 70-75% maximum. Even though to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
In addition, something else to think about is your car insurance. By unlawfully tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.

Which of the available tints do you use?
Not all window tints was created equal! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the least expensive product available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour eventually. It isn’t good quality, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This isn’t a premium tint, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Vision Tints, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint we can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides great longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, does not affect radio signals and provides the most UV/temperature protection.
All that being said, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and even better, it is manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
