How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and place that suits you.

- We then wash the car windows with 100% pure water to clear away any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
- We could need to detach the door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- Once the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for at least 7 days so that they can dry fully, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We are then able to receive payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for your car?
Selecting the correct tint shade can be tricky. Here are some things to ask yourself:

Which car windows are we able to tint?
We are asked this question many times. Firstly, let us describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. So, a 20% tint makes it possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of vehicles the come from the factory today have tinted glass that is already at (or close to) the 70-75% allowance. Although to some it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it actually is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the road unless you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
In addition, another factor to consider is the insurance on your car. By unlawfully tinting the front windows of your car, you can nullify your insurance.
It is also against the law to an illegally install tint to the front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Which of the available tints do you use?
Not every window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the cheapest product available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and often goes a blue or purple colour in the end. Its really not great, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This is not a premium tint, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Vision Tints, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The greatest tint available, provided as our premium service. It has the best colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, won’t affect radio reception and gives the best temperature/UV protection.
Having said that, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in the UK, meaning when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
