How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and a location convenient to you.
- Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
- We may need to remove door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- After the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can dry fully, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We can then accept payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?
Choosing the right tint shade can be difficult. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

Light tint – This is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but allowing for total visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers protection from heat, UV rays and also adds a little privacy.

Which car windows can we tint?
We’re asked this question many times. To start with, let us describe how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of cars the come from the factory today come with tinted glass that is almost at (or close to) the 70-75% allowance. Even though to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road until you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something else to think about is the insurance on your car. By illegally tinting the front windows of your car, you may nullify your insurance.
It is also illegal to an illegally install tint to the front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Vision Tints is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy company that all customers rely on and because of this we do not want to break the law. So we decided to not tint any front windows over the allowed limit.

What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and normally goes a blue or purple colour in the end. It is quite poor, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This isn’t a good option, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The greatest tint available, provided as our premium service. It provides great longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, does not affect radio signal and gives the most UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all manufacturers of tint are the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we think is best brand available, and what is more, it’s manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
