What we do
- You make a booking for a time slot and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to power.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to remove any dirt or unseen debris previous to tinting them.
- We could need to detach the door cards to gain access to the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- Once the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for at least 7 days so that they can dry fully, this protects the edge of the tint.
- We are then able to accept payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
What window tint shade is the right choice for you?
Choosing the right tint shade can be difficult. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Is the tint to make you car look great?
- Is it to look after children or animals from UV rays or heat?
- Do you want cover up valuables from view?
From your responses to the questions our fully trained specialists can help you to select the correct shade. These are the 3 main shades to choose from:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving total visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers protection from UV rays, heat & does add a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it can safeguard from heat, UV rays and provides absolute privacy.
Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We are asked this question many times. Firstly, let us describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of vehicles the come from the factory today have tinted windows that are already at (or nearly) the 70-75% allowance. Even though to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it actually is.
If you go ahead and get your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
In addition, something else to consider is the insurance on your car. By unlawfully tinting your front windows, you can invalidate your insurance.
It’s also against the law to an illegally install tint to the front windows, with hefty fines and penalties. Vision Tints is a reliable, trustworthy & respected business that all clients rely on and because of this we choose not to disobey the law. So we decided to not tint your front windows past the legal limit.
We always test with a tint meter to confirm you are allowable when applying a tint on front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the cheapest tint available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This isn’t a premium tint, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it gives a great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint available, offered as our premium service. It provides the best colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, will not affect radio signal and provides the best UV/temperature protection.
All that being said, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it is manufactured in the UK, meaning when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
Do you provide mobile window tinting near me?

We are able to visit your home or your workplace, meaning that you don’t need to be without your car and do not need to hang around for several hours for the job to be done.
