How it works
- You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and place that suits you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
- We then wash the car windows with 100% filtered water to remove any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
- We may need to remove door cards to gain access to the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- When the windows have been tinted, we request you do not use the windows for around a week to allow them to completely dry, this preserves the edge of the tint.
- We’re then able to accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
Which window tint shade is right for your car?
Selecting the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but allowing for total visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers protection from heat, UV rays and also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most popular, it protects from heat, UV rays and offers absolute privacy.
Which car windows are we able to tint?
We are regularly asked this question. To start with, let’s describe how tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. So, a 20% tint allows 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Nearly all of vehicles made today come with tinted windows that are almost at (or close to) the 70-75% maximum. Even though to some people it doesn’t look tinted, in actual fact it is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the road unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, another factor to consider is your car insurance. By unlawfully tinting your front windows, you may invalidate your insurance.
It is also against the law to an illegally install tint to the front windows, with large fines and penalties. Which of the available tints do you use?
Not all window tints was created equal! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. It is quite poor, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This isn’t first class, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it gives a great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The greatest tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It has great longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, will not affect radio signal and gives the most temperature/UV protection.
