How it works
- You book a time slot and a location convenient to you.
- Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or invisible debris before we tint them.
- We could need to remove door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for around a week so that they can dry fully, this preserves all the edges of the tint.
- We’re then able to take payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for your car?
Choosing the best tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:

Light tint – This is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but giving full visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers protection from UV rays, heat and also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most popular, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and offers total privacy.
Which car windows can we tint?
We’re asked this question many times. To start with, let’s explain the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. Therefore a 20% tint makes it possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of vehicles the come from the factory today have tinted glass that is already at (or nearly) the 70-75% maximum. Although to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the UK road network unless you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
In addition, another factor to consider is the insurance on your car. By illegally tinting your front windows, it’s possible to invalidate your insurance.
It is also against the law to an illegally install tint to the front windows, with large fines and penalties. Vision Tints is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all customers rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we decided to not tint your front windows beyond the allowed limit.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tints do you use?
Not all window tints meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This isn’t a premium tint, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it provides great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It has the best colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, will not affect radio reception and gives the most UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in the UK, which means that when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
