How it works
- You book a time slot and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only requiring access to power.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
- We could need to detach the door cards to gain access to the complete window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- Once the windows have been tinted, we ask that you do not use the windows for around 7 days so that they can dry fully, this preserves all the edges of the tint.
- We are then able to accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?
Selecting the right tint shade can be tricky. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving full visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers a safeguard from UV rays, heat & also adds some privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it protects from UV rays, heat and gives absolute privacy.
Which car windows can we tint?
We’re often asked about this. Firstly, let’s explain the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. The vast majority of vehicles produced today come with tinted glass that is almost at (or close to) the 70-75% limit. Although to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, in actual fact it is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the road until you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
In addition, another factor to think about is the insurance on your car. By unlawfully tinting the front windows of your car, you may invalidate your insurance.
It’s also illegal to an illegally install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Vision Tints is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable business that all customers rely on and because of this we choose not to disobey the law. So we will not tint front windows over the legal limit.
We use a tint meter to make sure everything is allowable when applying any tint on front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tints do you install?
Not all window tints was created equal! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the cheapest tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour after a while. It isn’t good quality, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This isn’t a good option, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The finest tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It provides great longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio reception and gives the best UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it’s manufactured in the UK, which means that when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
