What we do
- You make a booking for a time slot and place that suits you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to power.
- We then wash the car windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
- We could need to remove door cards to access the complete window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- When the windows have been tinted, we ask that you do not use the windows for around 7 days so that they can completely dry, this protects the edge of the tint.
- We can then accept payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
Which window tint shade is right for your car?
Choosing the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:

Based on your responses to these questions our trained specialists are able to help you to select the right shade. Below are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers shelter from UV rays, heat & also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most popular, it protects from heat, UV rays and provides complete privacy.
Which car windows can we tint?
We’re asked this question many times. Firstly, let us describe how tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes it possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of cars made today come with tinted windows that are almost at (or nearly) the 70-75% allowance. Even though to some this glass doesn’t look tinted, it really is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the UK road network unless you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, something else to consider is the insurance on your car. By illegally tinting the front windows of your car, you may nullify your insurance.
It is also against the law to an illegally install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Vision Tints is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all clients rely on and as such we choose not to break the law. So we choose not to tint any front windows over the legal limit.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tints do you use?
Not every window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This tends to be the cheapest tint on the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour after a while. It isn’t good quality, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This isn’t first class, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The greatest tint we can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides the best longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, does not affect radio signal and gives the best UV/temperature protection.
