How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
- We then wash the car windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or microscopic debris previous to tinting them.
- We might need to remove door cards to gain access to the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for at least 7 days so that they can completely dry, this protects all the edges of the tint.
- We can then receive payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
Which window tint shade is right for your car?
Choosing the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:

Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving full visibility even in darkness.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We are asked this question many times. Firstly, let us describe how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes it possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Nearly all of cars made today have tinted glass that is almost at (or close to) the 70-75% allowance. Even though to some this glass doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
In addition, another factor to consider is your car insurance. By illegally tinting the front windows of your car, you may invalidate your insurance.
It is also against the law to an illegally install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the cheapest tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour eventually. Its really not great, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This isn’t a good option, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The best tint on the market, provided as our premium service. It provides great longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio signal and provides the best temperature/UV protection.
