How it works
- You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to remove any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
- We might need to remove door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- When the windows have been tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for at least a week to allow them to dry fully, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We can then accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?
Selecting the right tint shade can be difficult. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

Which car windows are we able to tint?
We’re often asked about this. Firstly, let us describe how tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint makes it possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through. The vast majority of vehicles the come from the factory today have tinted windows that are already at (or nearly) the 70-75% limit. Even though to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, in actual fact it is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, something else to think about is the insurance on your car. By illegally tinting the front windows of your car, you may invalidate your insurance.
It is also illegal to an illegally install tint to a cars front windows, with large penalties & fines. Vision Tints is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable company that all clients rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we choose not to tint your front windows beyond the allowed limit.
We will use a tint meter to make sure you are allowable when installing a tint on front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the cheapest tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. It is quite poor, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This isn’t first class, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The best tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It has great longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, will not affect radio and provides the best UV/temperature protection.
