- You make a booking for a time slot and place that suits you.
- Our uniformed crew will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or microscopic debris previous to tinting them.
- We could need to detach the door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we ask that you do not use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to dry fully, this protects the edge of the tint.

Which car windows are we able to tint?
We are asked this question many times. To start with, let us explain how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. Therefore a 20% tint makes it possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of vehicles produced today come with tinted windows that are almost at (or nearly) the 70-75% allowance. Although to some it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it actually is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road unless you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
In addition, another factor to think about is your car insurance. By illegally tinting the front windows of your car, you may nullify your insurance.
It is also against the law to an illegally install tint to a cars front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Which of the available tints do you install?
Not all window tints meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the least expensive tint available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour eventually. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This isn’t first class, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Vision Tints, as it gives a great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The finest tint on the market, provided as our premium service. It provides the best colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, does not affect radio signal and gives the most temperature/UV protection.
