How it works
- You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed crew will arrive, only needing access to power.
- We then wash the car windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
- We could need to remove door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can completely dry, this protects the edge of the tint.
- We are then able to accept payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
What window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?
Choosing the best tint shade can be difficult. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

Light tint – This is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays & does add a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most popular, it provides a guard from UV rays, heat and offers absolute privacy.
Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We are often asked about this. To start with, let’s describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of vehicles the come from the factory today have tinted windows that are almost at (or close to) the 70-75% maximum. Although to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, in actual fact it is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
In addition, another factor to think about is your car insurance. By unlawfully tinting your front windows, you may invalidate your insurance.
It is also against the law to an illegally install tint to a cars front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Vision Tints is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all clients rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we will not tint any front windows over the allowed limit.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tints do you install?
Not every window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the least expensive product on the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour after a while. It is quite poor, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This is not a good option, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The greatest tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, will not affect radio signals and provides the most UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all manufacturers of tint offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it is manufactured in the UK, meaning when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
