How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and place that suits you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only requiring access to power.
- We then wash the car windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or microscopic debris previous to tinting them.
- We could need to remove door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- When the windows are tinted, we request you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can completely dry, this protects all the edges of the tint.
- We are then able to accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for you?
Selecting the correct tint shade can be tricky. Here are some things to ask yourself:

Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving complete visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays & does add some privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is the most widely selected, it protects from heat, UV rays and gives absolute privacy.
Which car windows are we able to tint?
We’re often asked about this. To start with, let us describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on each of the driver’s & the front passenger’s window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Nearly all of vehicles produced today have tinted glass that is already at (or nearly) the 70-75% maximum. Even though to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it actually is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the road unless you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, another factor to think about is your car insurance. By illegally tinting your front windows, you can nullify your insurance.
It’s also illegal to an illegally install tint to the front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Vision Tints is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all clients rely on and as such we choose not to break the law. So we will not tint your front windows beyond the allowed limit.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tints do you use?
Not all window tints meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the least expensive tint available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and normally goes a blue or purple colour eventually. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This is not a good option, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Vision Tints, as it provides great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides great colour/longevity, isn’t affected by heater lines, does not affect radio signal and gives the best UV/temperature protection.
All that being said, not all manufacturers of tint offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it is manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
